Now a recent pair of "This is Livin'" are beginning to bubble/peel. It first started with a pair of Keen’s where the lens began bubbling/peeling, they were replaced under warranty and the new pair is doing the same. I decided to order a few more models and they're all defective. I’ve owned a pair of original Nocturnal Q’s from a few years ago and they’re still going strong. I’m disappointed with the quality of my Blenders as of recent. Giving 2 stars here because I did like the shades before they started delaminating, but man what a bummer that they are not built to last at all. They did offer me first a discount on a future purchase and then a $25 gift card, but there's no way I'm buying another pair of ~$60 sunglasses that won't last me a year, even with a discount. I reached back out to customer service, and was told that there's a "max limit per warranty" so they couldn't send me a new pair (as mentioned, the model I had is no longer produced anyway) or issue me any kind of refund. Worth noting, I'm careful with my sunglasses and take good care of them, so two pairs having the same issue is a clear manufacturing defect. Great! Except fast forward 8 months, and the new pair started delaminating too. I reached out to customer service, sent in a couple of pictures, and since I was within the one-year warranty, they sent me a new pair at no charge. However, within less than a year, the mirrored coating started to delaminate, leaving black spots on the lenses. I have a couple pairs of Costa del Mar sunglasses that are obviously more expensive and better quality, but for everyday/non-technical wear, the Blenders shades were good enough, plus stylish and fun, and they became my favorite pair of shades.
